| ...Two vacation homes
for rent on Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands. ...Located on a hilltop overlooking the island-dotted Caribbean Sea to the west, the Atlantic to the east, and much of beautiful Virgin Gorda. |

| ...Always a breeze to
keep you cool. A quiet, wonderful island of fabulous beaches, tremendous boulders, and a mountain to explore. A tropical island consisting of... "Nature's Little Secrets". |

| The
Hunter family homes on
Virgin Gorda were built in the 1970's and '80's
by the Rev.
David R. Hunter and his wife Carman, as a family retreat from the rush
and tension of American life. After serving as occasional part-time
minister at the Anglican St. Mary's Church, The Valley, Virgin Gorda,
the Hunters decided to make the island their part-time home, as well as
a second for their extended family. The houses have evolved into
vacation retreats for both family and others seeking a home away from
home to unwind amidst some of the World's most spectacular scenery,
kind & hospitable people, and best swimming, snorkeling, and
sailing available anywhere. Many of our guests who return year-after-year are professionals who appreciate and prefer good value, comfort, and independence to the pampered luxury of expensive resort hotels. The homes are now managed and rented by Stephen Hunter. |
| Both of our houses are modestly
but
comfortably furnished and equipped with amenities, including DSL
Internet service and cable TV. The kitchens are each fully-equipped,
including conveniences of microwave ovens, blenders and coffee makers. The three-acre hilltop compound affords unobstructed views, large yards and an unusual measure of freedom and privacy. You are less than ten minutes from any of Virgin Gorda's best beaches as well as numerous restaurants and shopping areas. |
|
| The Cedar House is constructed of red cedar from British Columbia. Along with living, dining, and kitchen areas there are three generous bedrooms and two baths (See the house floorplan). Expansive decks extend the length of the house affording commanding views in all directions. Beyond the surrounding Valley area, you view Gorda Peak and Virgin Gorda's north end, the island-dotted Caribbean Sea, and the open Atlantic Ocean. All exterior walls are full-length louvered windows, allowing for the regulation of light and breeze. |
|
| The Boulder House, was built surrounding a large boulder, it features two bedrooms, along with a living room, dining room, kitchen, and bath (See the house floorplan). This house, too, has decks that face both of the seas as well as overlooking the Valley, Gorda Peak and the north end of the island. |
